Multiple Driving Penalties for same offence

hello,
I would be grateful for any advise about our predicament. We are a family who live in Shepherds Bush in West London. A few weeks ago whilst taking our kids swimming at the local leisure centre, we had to take a different route home owing to some road works on a road we normally take. We were unaware then at the time that we were committing an offence turning right on a no-turn right road. I have since found out that this junction is a big "cash cow" for the notorious H+F authority, (some of you may have seen the BBC's Panorama programme featuring their ticket giving policy), over the last three years they have raised over £140,000 from this one junction! Although there is signage at the Zebra crossing you go through as you come out of the Leisure centre you are obviously concentrating on not running over people rather than reading signs, and we've noted another no-right turn sign has recently been added which kind of proves its not crystal clear.
Anyhow we were unaware that we were breaking the law and within 5 days managed to pick up 5 separate tickets from the camera positioned at the junction.
So although we feel that there were mitigating circumstances we have accepted that we made a mistake but do not accept that we should have to pay five times for the same mistake. H+F have turned down our appeal but have completely ignored the fact that it is the same offence. I'm contemplating appealing to the independent adjudicator but am mindful that "Personal circumstance will not be taken into account", and aware that if we lose we could be faced with double the bill for the offence so pushing it to £630.00.
Can anyone advise us if we should take the appeal route. I think our best defence is probably to accept that we have made a mistake and agree to pay for one offence but not for other four as it's a draconian fine for what is in effect one offence.
Thanks for bearing with me I look forward to your responses.

Another of I Love Wayne King's really helpful posts on this forum. Have yet to see one single bit of positive assistance provided by him. Troll off pal. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The OP is a danger on the road, cannot see why anyone wants to help get them off. Missing a road sign on 6 separate occassions is worrying to say the least.
As that is just your opinion, it's a good job that people come here to help instead of trolling, do you actually contribute anything constructive in your time here ever? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Hang on, did you get charged for one offense 5 times, or on 5 separate occasions did you commit an offense?0
