Hey everyone
First post updated to here.
Welcome back everyone. And hi to Flat Eric. :hello:
Well done on the purple week Casper. :j:j I don't think I'll ever achieve that.
And congrats to Casper, sedge and Munchin on the NSD
NSD for me too.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Last week I hesitatingly joined the challenge for the first time, pledging to spend less than £70 through the week, groceries included. I very much doubted that I'd make it because I'd already kept spends beneath this for a couple of weeks already thanks to yellow stickered produce and the Asda Price Guarantee thingy, so I figured that a spendy week was bound to be imminent. Furthermore, our guinea pigs require fresh salad every few days which means that I can't just stick to a once a week shop these days and avoid temptation. In addition, we're only ten minutes walk away from a huge Asda, the local equivalent of the corner shop. I spend so much time in the place that it's a wonder they haven't started trying to charge me rent.
This week has been no exception, and although I tried hard to keep costs down, as usual it felt like I was never out of the place.
Sunday, groceries - £1.35
Monday, groceries - £17.81
Tuesday, groceries - £1.79
Wednesday - £0
Thursday - groceries, £18.38
Friday, pasties at football match - £9 (ouch!)
Needless to say, I was not keen on adding this week's spends up, but was astonished to find that I have come in well under target at... £48.33! Yay!
That spendy week that logic tells me must be due anytime soon could well be this week, but not if I have anything to do with itPlease put me down for another £70

Thanks hun, it felt good indeed and has motivated me to try again. Unfortunately the week after this will be more spendy as I'm spending Friday, Saturday and Sunday 22nd, 23rd and 24th at the Doctor Who 50th celebration Convention and am going to the movies to see it in 3D! :T :j
Am so excited I can't wait! Have a great week.
