Hi All,
I used to bank with Halifax and was ALWAYS paying bank charges, even had an 8month battle when someone used my account for direct debits with out my auth. When they finally rule in my favour, they closed my account.
But heres the thing, we are talking years (account closed in 2007). I was on a low income and still am. Would they even listen to me?
Thanks for any help, good or bad
PS, i have only just been informed my charges may have been unfair

Congratulations on getting your charges refunded. :T
But back in 2007 is was usually extremely easy as the older posts on this site demonstrated. You just made a complaint and the bank usually refunded.
However, when the gravy train got into full steam the banks started to say no, stop, lets have a court decide.
Eventually in November 2009 the Supreme court did decide.
The gravy train then shuddered to an almighty halt.
P.S. Who else have you been getting advice off recently, and why? :huh:0 -
The terms you signed up for also stated that these terms can be changed and that they will give you notice of this (which they have).0
