Hello,
Does anyone know of any HD TV or computer monitor (with its own speakers) that does not have Freeview or a TV tuner fitted. New or used condition.
I am looking for a TV that I could connect an upscaling DVD player and perhaps a blue-ray player to without living in fear of TV licencing threats.
At present I am using an old small non HD scart tv which I think is unable to receive any live TV signals these days. I now want something with a larger screen.
Thank you for any help.

If your DVD player has a hdmi connector then almost any PC monitor should do what you require. A bluray player would have hdmi and could play DVD's anyway so might be a worthy investment.
You will need to check for sound output as not all PC monitors have speakers.

What size are you looking for, can get 55" screen but at a cost of £1500 or so.
Or 27" for about £280.
As for sound, best of getting small soundbar or cheap surround sound, speakers on these screens are not very good, so pointless watching a nice blu ray film with crappy soundMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Thank you for advice.
Does anyone know if a 23 inch Asus VE228HR multimedia HD monitor (or recommend one please) might be the sort of thing that could suit me?
Thanks again...0 -
I use it with a computer, but I picked up this ASUS which has full HD panel, HDMI input and built-in speakers which sound OK.0
