Recommendations for a photo printer

I can say from my experience I had HP printers and I had problems with them. Although, I heard good things about HP from other people. Since I have Canon I have no problems with a printer at all. Therefor for me the choice is simple - Canon. Also I find canon more quality, price is ok too if you fill the cartridges on your own,0

Do the canon pixma range of printers photocopy and print documents?
