Hi my friend purchased a nintendo WII console in december from GAME.It has now stopped working and according to a trouble shooting guide it needs repairing.Does he have to take it back to game or will he have to contact nintendo?
Should he have to pay for it to be fixed or should it really have lasted atlot longer than it has?
any help much appreciated thanks

It will be guarenteed for 12 months, so you won't need to pay to have it repaired, assuming that your freind has not spilt lager over it or troddon on it.
Take it back to Game, they may want to send it away for repair, or they may replace it.The money, Dave...0 -
LOL at the lager ,no he hasnt ,he was just playing on it when it crashed and hasnt worked since0

Peardrop, a few links that may be of use.
Your 1st point of call is with Game - though sometimes, it can be quicker to deal direct with the manufacturer as the shop will merely act as middlemen.

If the product has a trouble shooting guide isn't there an attachment stating where to go if a repair is needed?
Virtually all my electrical items from watches, kettles and computers state that for repairs are done by the manufacturer due to the type of guarantee they have.
I've never paid for electrical item to be fixed that was under a year old as the product can be argued to be defective. I've had to pay postage or delivery costs without it being reimbursed.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
