How do i get back to the future?

I have my bike set up already it can hit 88 mph when i jump off the huge bridge as i am free falling, i am using tin foil to fire proof my body, and i have my flux capacitor all set up (stored a crap load of electric through rigging up next doors meter to my duracell rechargable back pack battery) so hitting 1.21 gigawatts at the right time is easy. Heres the problem:

I am going back in time to kidnap and marry Hypatia of Greece, i like smart women, but in ancient greece they dont have electric so i cant recharge the battery on the bike, which will make hitting 1.21 gigs impossible without help, i have no idea how i will do it as there are no recorded lightning strikes that i am aware of in ancient greece so theres no point in bringing a huge copper rod with me :(

I was thinking of bringing a wind up electric generator with me, but that will take too long to charge the battery, i will have several hundred irate Greek males after me when i steal their beloved phiilosopher, and when they realise shes been carried off by me they will be crazed mad, so i need the power pretty sharpish, maybe i could use something more quick in generating that kind of power if anyone has any ideas?

Thanks.
Owed out = lots.

  • I would suggest that once you get to ancient greece you find a cave somewhere and use it to lie low in whilst re-charging your battery with your wind up generator. Now here's the clever bit... then and only then do you emerge from the cave, kidnap hypatia and use your fully charged batteries to immediately escape back to the future evading the angry menfolk.
Of course there are some nasty things in ancient greek caves so try not to pick one occupied by a minotaur or something.

I think your issue maybe thinking to linear in your approach.

Personally I would go forward in time and purchase a far larger capacity battery pack, after all you may get back from greece with hypatia and realise that shes a terrible nag and cant quite get the hang of the washing machine and you will want to return her from whence she came. Therefore you will need a multi use power supply

Im a tad concerned with this statment though as its seldom kidnapping leads to a happy marriage? so you may wish to invest in some kind of restraining device too as she may feel a tad annoyed and try and do a bunk at the first opportunity.

Be careful kidnapping Hypatia as she could be classed as a butterfly.
  • I think you need a bolt of lightning.

I wonder if you kidnapped someone from swedens capital if they would eventually just get "syndrome"? or "stockholm stockholm syndrome"?

Do you need to make it all the way back to 2013? Could you do it incrementally a dozen years at a time?

Or even slower, one day at a time.

Excellent point - I was just thinking with successive hops technology would have improved so you could get further each time.

Start with attaching the generator to an ox-driven wheat mill or a chariot wheel, then as you move into later eras you can start to take advantage of different metals and technologies as they're invented, until you can safely reach the 1980's ;-)

Couldn't you find a Cyclops to annoy? Wind one of them up enough, they might throw one Zeus' thunderbolts at you.

But be quick with that conductor rod ;)
