    Morning all!
Glad your mouth is slowly healing JackieO! I fancy Blood Brothers too, too many shows to choose from in London but my friend picked this one as its her birthday treat.
Miserable wet day here, and I need to go out to the shops, was going to pop into city centre on the train but its too wet, looks like Braehead or Silverburn then! Have been wide awake reading since before 5, but now cant be bothered to move, I have already cleaned the bathroom twice mind you, as DS now has the sickness bug!
Oh well, better get my clothes on and get organised, still haven't got my friend's birthday card and am off to sainsbobs to look for something warm to wear for next weekend!
    Have a good day all!

Very little sleep last night, someone decided to share a child protection issue with me at midnight.
Up at 6 as hubby had to get to work early, then to Mr T with DGS, filled up with petrol, got DGS a new coat and gloves, hubby & I will be on minimum rations til Christmas, lol.
I'm having a quick browse whilst DGS reads his comic then we are going to make a Christmas decoration, he likes sewing so it be made of felt & stuffed.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning,

well its all go for me today. Shopping this morning if I can get hubby out of his chair.

We are off down South today for hubbys best friends 50th birthday party and will be staying overnight. It aint very often I get to sleep in another mans bed (even if it is just with my husband). That's one status I wont be making on Faceb00k for obvious reasons.:D

I am wearing one of my favourite looks for the party, the 'monochrome' look. Black skinny jeans (I might just get into them if I breathe in), a white cotton stretchy top and a black waterfall cardigan with black ankle boots. I might try and recreate a more gothic style makeup. I know hubby likes it and I don't think i'm too old to pull it off. No white powder though, I don't do the death warmed up look.

It will be good to see his friend. Though hubby sees him quite often when he stays with him when he is working in London, I don't think ive seen him for about 7 years. Ive spoke to him though numerous times. Ive been warned by my daughter about drinking too much (as I make a right idiot of myself) but hubbys friend said everyone will be pie eyed anyway so drink what I want cause no one will remember it the next day.

Hubby is on the pop, he doesnt know how to enjoy himself a the best of times and I am presuming tonight will be no exception. I'll get glared at if I overstep the mark.

I'm worrying about leaving the 'Girls' with 'Youngest'. Millie dog got me up at 2 am this morning for a wee. I don't know if she will wake 'Youngest' up at that time of a morning. Mind you, his door is usually closed and ive told him to take her out at midnight and then set his alarm for 5 am and take her out again. This he promises to do. Not sure what to do about our bedroom either. She's got a habit of weeing on hubbys side of the bed when we are not there but by the side of my bed is where she usually sleeps and don't want to interfere with her sleeping pattern more than necessary. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Anyway, have a nice weekend all, and dodge the rain. Its going to be another wet weekend.

    Afternoon all,

We woke up to no heating this morning so it's a trifle chilly here. I can live with it, it's about 15 degrees in the house but Frog is bundled up in an extra jumper.

We went out first thing to get veg and beef for a roast we are having tomorrow with some of DH's friends coming over. Also ran about doing a list of other things. I also got myself a little poppy pin so that I don't lose it again, this is the 5th one this year!

Still waiting for the heating engineer, we were added to today's rounds as we have a toddler in the house ( she has her uses ;) ). I may have to go down to the local swimming pool to swim, ahem use their showers as I have a night out tonight which I am hugely excited about.

With DH working shifts I rarely get to go out, but tonight I am off to Central London with some guys and gals I studied with to catchup over burgers and milkshakes :) DH gets to have quality time with Froglet :)

Hope you all have a good Saturday xx

    Afternoon All,

Donny-gal - congrats on your 40th WA!
Judi - hope you have a great weekend, no comment from me about you sleeping in other men's beds!

Just having a home-made burger for lunch.

This evening OH and I are going on a bus run (32 of us) to the dogs. We will have a meal first and then roll my magic dice to find the winners! (I know nothing about greyhounds!)

Have a good day everyone

    Hi all

Apologies for not getting onto MSE yesterday – I was up to my eyes in shredding old documents with a temperamental shredder, and wanted to get it all done before Bonnie arrived.:o

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs DG.

Molly well done on getting letter done; the sooner DS is out of her clutches, the better.

JackieO I hope you're feeling a bit better today – sounds like you've had a pretty grim experience.

Tru I don't do huggy-kissy stuff either – I don't even like shaking peoples' hands, since someone with a hard grip made me yelp in pain! Your post put me in mind of the Sky production of “The Colour Of Magic” where the wizard Rincewind (played by David Jason) said to Twoflower (Sean Astin) “ No hugging – I do not hug!!:D

Apologies if I've missed replying to something I should've - I've had to catch up with the thread from Thursday afternoon, at the same time as listening to Mr LW reading out crossword clues and expecting me to know the answers.

Bonnie's a delightful dog – she's 12 years old, and has a lot of grey in her face; she's here for 9 days, and so far has been extremely easy to deal with. Even her meds (for arthritis) are easy – just pop them in with her breakfast, and they get eaten.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon everyone,

Molly Hugs for you and for your DS.

Donny Happy anniversary to you and Mr DG (I assume that he is DonnyBoy!)

Jools I love Blood Brothers, you must see it.

LW Glad Bonnie is being easy.

    Judi Have a good party.

JulieG Good to see you back.

JackieO Glad that your face is feeling better.

Just back from a long shop in town with both of my girls. Ended up with some school shoes for me, the others leaked so badly in the rain last week that I squelched all the way home, and bras for the girls. Have left them in town and come home for some peace and quiet.

Going to make some meatballs for tea tonight (Nigella's recipe) so I better get on as it takes ages.

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.:)
