Just heard the sad news had to take a timeout from work for a moment to have a moment, like alot of others, its close to home after loosing someone earlier in the year thoughts to Mads Family and Friends

Tried to catch up but it was difficult so dont know if anyone has said or suggested it but how about we all meet up tomorrow night (give everyone notice and chance to be here) and raise a pint for Mad like we did for Mr 3Dogs

Isn't it amazing how someone you've never met can touch some many people.
Like many others I shed a tear when I read the news at lunchtime, didn't have time to post as was at work

Mad was an absolute gentleman, you could just tell from his posts :A

I am very sad to hear of his passing he will be sorely missed by all his 'Elite' friends.

Thinking of his friends and family at this difficult time as well.

I am so sad to hear of Mad's passing
I too heard at lunchtime but was at work:( cant quite believe it as he was just saying he felt unwell a few weeks ago and ought to go docs:(
I agree about a new thread in Mad's name, hope he is looking down on us and brings us lots of nice glitches in his name just as Mr3Dogs did !

Is there anyway that the just giving could be split between the hospice he stayed in and the cancer charity? I think hospices do a great job, with not a lot of funding, would be nice to help his local town one

Think the idea of the justgiving set up is so that costs are kept to a minimum so that the chosen charity benefits from the donations rather than them being swallowed up. The charities listed seem to be national rather than regional - can anybody more knowledgable comment?

And something I forgot to mention was that Mad was thrilled to receive the Elite 'get well' cards. I sent a card on behalf of team Elite - a large 6 page folded one and I wrote everybodies name on it along with all the messages.

He was chuffed to bits with it and his family were well impressed that he had so many friends and had made such an impression
