Well I'm shattered after all the excitement tonight. Thanks for all the fun everyone. :T

So pleased quite a few peeps liking the idea of the calendar. I really think Mad deserves an Elite collaboration. ;)

Goodnight all, FC, DM, Savvy and Zag :A:A:A

Don't think anyone else is still up that I have missed.

But I better add another Goodnight for Aau as he will probably show up in the middle of the night. ;)

And a Good Morning for My Dotty, who will be getting his beauty sleep no doubt.

Well I'm not sure what I was supposed to be doing, as I've been off-topic to this thread for the last x number of hours. I was just searching around in relation to my specialist interest of 'autism itself', and it's not always a barrel of laughs - I should stop reading all this stuff really, because some of it makes me a bit upset when it draws attention to my socialisation problems and that I've never had a relationship in my life. It's a little bit saddening and, I suppose, not always easy fitting in to a world into which you don't always fit. (Is that a circular argument?:D (:D as picking up others' circular arguments and questioning them:eek: is another one of my current on-and-off special interests:rotfl:.)

But... I'm also reading about my strengths and how some things, like focusing my concentration on tasks for long periods of time, something extremely difficult for most of the population, are things I do far better than 'everyone else'. I think it's a great gift and I rather like having the condition:). Just so typical of me to be different and to have this as a source of some pride and well done to me for having Asperger's:j:D:rotfl::). Brilliant! I love it!:):)
(Oh, I'm almost filling up a little with tears of joy.)

I'm so proud of my Aspieness and more good to me!:):):T:T Celebrate yourself folks, especially from someone prone to underselling myself quite often. I'm a bit underrated, but invaluable and useful.

(Or useless information store if you prefer:rotfl::rotfl:.)

I'm looking around the web though - and finding very little information and nothing coming back for what's it like not to have autism. Of course, I know what it's like to have it (I thought I was just normal for many decades, just a bit shy, never realised the full details and ramifications of this condition as didn't know I had it). But... what's it like to be someone without Asperger's? How can you go around in oblivion totally seemingly unaware of the obvious spelling mistake in a hundred paragraphs that sticks out with brights lights and a loud beacon over and pointing at it so that's it completely and totally obvious at first glance? How can you just know what someone's feeling from their face? How is eye contact completely maintained without thought and just naturally, and at the right and exact timing for the 'correct' amount of time? And who decides what is "correct"? (All these musings of life..what a revelation to come eh?):)

savvy don't ever be upset :( and don't ever apologise for who you are! There's not a single person here that isn't an odd ball in one way or another!

You fit in absolutely fine here, this place would not be the same without you!! :)

So whats the difference between a sleeping bag and a bivvy bag please FC??
The first can be pretty colours and patterns, the latter is usually some shade of khaki green, or patterned of the same khaki tones.;)

We're all odd in our own way (another circular??;):rotfl:) and all in our own bubble with things meaning to us whatever they mean to us.

Oh, regarding "fit in" I certainly wasn't referring to this thread, but RL - social situations!

As regards not ever getting upset, not even a miracle like me can avoid doing that at times. It's a little saddening I suppose - and easy for me and people with my condition to be described as being "sad", lacking a life, need to get out more etc. - but actually I do go out to work's dos etc., in fact delete the 'etc.':rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: as that's all of when I go out (in the 'party' sense thing:rotfl:) but it explains why no-one is attracted to me and is attracted by body language linkages no doubt to everyone else! They always all go and end up chatting to each other in their own groups. That's what it's like! Or, as happened the other day, you'll be talking to someone, someone else will come into the room and the person you were talking to will do a sudden and illogical change of subject, completely on something else, doubtless trivial, and in response to the other person and then they'll keep chatting to each other and walk off!

Hang on... I hadn't finished yet! Totally ignoring me - and doubtless completely unaware that I hadn't quite finished my point. Come on - I told them, I'll have to talk to you more about it later (so it was hardly the 'make others bored and be totally oblivious to fact you are doing so' situation), I just had a final short sentence to clarify/correct what I'd said. But in comes someone else and immediately they're talking about some stupid cheese recipe or other.:rotfl::rotfl: (With apologies to people on here, with similar things, but at least on this thread it's sort of in-topic and relevant, as opposed to being totally unrelated to what I was telling the person.)

Perhaps my body language (of which I am totally unaware) 'told' them, quite wrongly, that I'd finished and they could leave. Tsk...non-autistic people..just haven't the attention span at all have they and can't discuss or ever gain knowledge on a subject that they started off talking with you about. Really, what's the point talking to me (they initiated it) and then getting the incomplete of a reply and then suddenly losing your attention and going onto trivia without ever having the attention span to be able to listen to and learn the full answer to what you intimated you wanted to know?

Normal people - sorry folks as that's likely to be you - ...tsk.. lacking attention span and inability to gain knowledge that might actually be extremely useful.

 Noticing dm's sig. (In fact not only noticing it just now, I have noticed it earlier of course but just replying now, for no apparent reason!)

Hmmm... but is the "Imagination" that is being referred to "social imagination"* or another type of imagination? .

Imagination is good in any form, but perhaps i should change my sig to....A concept that is a relatively recent concept on me.Savvy 2013

I was just searching around in relation to my specialist interest of 'autism itself', and it's not always a barrel of laughs - I should stop reading all this stuff really, because some of it makes me a bit upset when it draws attention to my socialisation problems and that I've never had a relationship in my life. you have many relationships going on here Savvy, and are a friend to many, and this little world we call the Elite is where you fit in perfectly, my friends think I'm nuts, but at least I'm here in good company.

I can perhaps answer this for you a little bit, I have a physical disability, and it makes me notice how long people hold eye contact for, most of the time it's ok, but many times they do not hold contact and wander to different parts of my face, searching.(All these musings of life..what a revelation to come eh?):)
    Hope this helps a little.

I've no idea about that, and I'm coming in on a post that I've no idea as to the context or what it's in relation to, but... I think I need that green numbered computer picture again, so I can deeply focus and concentrate on it. David.???:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D

    Mental enrichment perhaps:rotfl:.

Alright, folks, quite late, hope I've not insulted you all too much:D:p:rotfl:;););) certainly not intended ('why not?' I hear you cry:eek::eek:) and maybe a nice green computer picture will provide me relaxation and send me, in a very good way, to sleep!

Savvy, a question, only due to curiosity, and nothing else, do you drink, and in drink, I mean alcohol?
