"...A strong response to high intensity stimuli in autism could be one reason for withdrawal."

I don't (as far as I'm aware) have much problem around high-intensity stimulation - in that respect, I'm very very lucky and I feel I have 'just the right amount...' (of autism). We, you, I could discuss this later on - not the time (or possibly the place) at the moment to discuss this - I'm getting into my other Asperger's obsession of the moment (topic of interest: autism) - and should get back to T and Svs etc. No apologies (:p) for the diversion (my getting myself diverted) as that's caused by the condition, as is everything I do or don't do - it's a pervasive development disorder:). From my viewpoint, I don't feel occasions when I get (or in the past have got) a bit withdrawn have been because of outside sensory stimuli. (Okay, if someone upsets you that's obviously stimulation of its own sort and can explain withdrawal, but I'm not talking of stimulation in that sense - more stimulation in the sense of loud noise, bright lights etc. - or, not necessarily loud noise (to other people) - may be quite 'normal' level to them but loud to you.)

    Interesting.:):)

I was just reading about high functioning sufferers of autism today :) again :D ( I personally don't like the word sufferers)

You're getting into sensory problems again. I have a little of the bright lights problem. LOADS of the noise problem (window slamming in the summer if anyone dares turn their lawn mower on :D)

By far our biggest sensory problems are hair and nails. He claims that both cause pain when being cut :( it's not a good time here when nails or hair get too long :(:(

Just popping by to say goodnight to all.
Have tried to catch up as busy all day with work - What a liberty when I am trying to get into the swing of things here.

On the plus side I bought DD a Jack Wills jacket in the early hours and just bought a dinner service.

On the minus side I bought DD a Jack Wills jacket in the early hours and just bought a dinner service.

I saw on 10ways via Amazon.
I thought it may already be posted here but it seems not and I don't know if I can do links. May be worth a look if you need one
Its seems really nice and £19 odd instead of £180odd I think or thereabouts. HTH without the link sorry.

    EDIT
I just went to see if I could give better info but its sold out now, I am so sorry for being so slow, should of just randomly posted and then deleted if it had already been posted. I will know better next time.

So how does this wall not melt, or is it in a big cold room?

Off to bed. Very busy day today. It was the one day of the year when I make serious money on E-Bay. Did not start well with a few problems but suffice to say my phone has been going kerching all day and takings are good. Did not get to dressed until 4.50 this afternoon was so busy on laptop. Then OH came at 5.30 and went to Waitrose for woopsies. Cleaned up again all for just over £5.00
    Night all
