  • Does anyone here use Talk Talk? Just been talking to the bloke there and he seems to be offering me a good package :D

I am currently with Sky with capped broadband with a discounted deal but sometimes :o:rotfl::rotfl:go over my allowance. (Must be getting gobby like some of you lot):D which of course pushes the price up each month I do this.

Anyway, Talk Talk bloke has just offered same package as Sky (anytime, broadband & tv) with a free You View box, free connection etc for £60 per month.

Seems a reasonably good deal - to me :(

    Anybody got any thoughts?

Oh Silver. While you're here. You know that other Hiedseck with the red label? The one you said would return too much of a high APG? Well, I'm going in a bit to test that one out. Its £30 and its £18 in S. I know its a higher APG, but its less faffing about. As you may be aware, I can't afford to be lingering in asda for longer than is necessary at the minute.

So I need to go in, grab the champagne, grab a granny, I mean fillers, and be out in 15 mins flat.

As it stands, I would have to now go and get two bottles of the 15.00 one to get a half decent APG. Whereas, by getting the 30.00 champs you are getting a good apg. I will of course, be picking my SAs and my asdas very wisely. I'm going miles out of my area and I'm going to spend most of the ones i'm making now, at week-ends, when its busy during Christmas Period.

Whatever works for you. By the very fact that you are where you are with regards Sada lingering, you obvioulsy know what you are doing.;)
I, by comparison, am a novice, my snakes amounted to a grand total of 6, although that was more about geographical availability rather than my own motivation. I would just say though, that the monopole is a potential 30quid bottle of fizz for £11.20 ish compared to your alternative at £16.20ish (but if you are effectively laundering glitchy APGs into legit ones then yours is the way to go). Good luck and I look forward to seeing how it works out

Avoid TalkTalk like The Black Plague.
They are voted the worst provider for a reason.

Their call centres are in India/Philippines as is their tech department. They read from a script "Please turn off your computer and turn it back on" "It's my phone that isn't working, not my internet" - actual conversation.

Few old grumpy people I guess. ;) (Now they are going to start moaning at me about this comment).

All I can say is that they have a notoriously bad history for customer service for a very good reason ;)

Best day to renegotiate a deal with Sky is a Wednesday as sales staff will have not used too much of their allocated discount quota.

This made me :rotfl: It gives me images of the Elite saving every penny, whoopsieing, stockpiling and not being afriad of using out out of date stuff, getting the very best prices on everything to then spend the savings on posh fizz.

    Go Go Go

Never mind posh fizz - at the weekend I spent my Elite savings on an iPad ! I may live to regret that though as I've always had Windows computers and don't have a smart phone so its a whole new world to me.

I've mastered the essential basics (the Asda APG site and Elite !) but getting music off my computer and onto the iPad is giving me a real migraine. I spent ages downloading iTunes onto my main computer - and then, when I connected the iPad, it told me I had the wrong version of iTunes so had to spend more time downloading the correct version.

And I still can't see how to transfer the music over ! If anyone fancies giving me a short tutorial I'd appreciate some help - I can pay you in Flumps !

I'm with Talk Talk. Not had any problems so far. Never had to ring call centre, so can't speak from experience on that note.
