What days are people going to the IHS this week? Any meets planned as I think that a few people got tickets.

I'm going on Saturday, but I am also on a stand for a while as well, so will be looking around, running the stand, looking around, running the stand etc. When I got the tickets the company had decided NOT to have a stand else I would not have bothered with the tickets.

Im off to school :) Just read a very beautifully written and uplifting message on FB from the lady who runs the project that my OH attends. Made me smile and puts the important things in life into perspective, well in my life anyway :) Have a good day all and I hope everyone get the opportunity today to take a couple of minutes to reflect give thanks for the important things in your life.

I would just like to share a few moments with you from this past Remembrance Week. As you will have seen the team spent the week manning the poppy stand in Morrissons. It was a privilege to be able to be involved, and reassuring to see just how many people still support this annual show of respect and gratitude. Many people shared their stories with us in the foyer of the supermarket.
On Thursday I attended the funeral of a Navy veteran, on what would have been his 90th birthday. Many inspirational stories were shared of his life, including how he, in recent years, sought out the captain of the German U Boat that torpedoed and sunk his ship. He formed a friendship with this gentleman, and visited him in Germany - a lesson in forgiveness for us all.
Then of course yesterday I joined one of the veterans on parade in Preston, as we laid a wreath at the cenotaph. This gentleman, just like many others, experiences emotional wounds as a result of his service. It took every ounce of courage and determination that he had to join a large parade, march through the town, step forward with our wreath and all in front a large crowd. This dedication to service while experiencing very real anxiety is typical of our veterans, and I was honoured to walk beside him.
As we approach 11 o clock this morning I would like to add my own personal thanks to all those effected by conflict, be they members of our armed forces, their families or civilians. The sacrifices made in body and mind have brought me the freedom I often take for granted. Thank you x

Morning everyone, no idea what madness I've missed

My to do list is as long as a football pitch so I won't be out to play yet, well not for days at this rate.

Eldest son wants a tacky Christmas jumper. I only do classy so I don't really have much of a clue what counts as tacky. I don't want to spend more than £20 as it will probably only be worn once - apparently its needed for a tacky Christmas jumper party.
It will be posted out to him (hes working away for the next 6 month) so I need to do this ASAP.
What is annoying is that we were in Chester last week and I could easily have gone to Primark - might end up having to do this again, go to Chester but I've not really got the time this week.
I don't want to look on amazon or ebay, far too many Christmas jumpers, just end up confused.

Anyway any clues as to what is tacky or ideas of where to look please?

Go to primark:eek: and look at the Santa onesie as that's what Im wearing Christmas day:T:cool::rotfl:
