Miffie, don't be :(. I helped as well and if someone else came along looking for help, I'd probably do the same again.

Go with what you think, take people as you find them and don't beat yourself up about helping people, and most importantly.....have your own opinions. Yes that person might have been in a different guise before. I have personally lived and slept since then and have no memory of it.

There are way more people on here with more than one identity than you would think. It's sad.....but true.

Thanks for the advice and encouragment to continue to post and go with what i feel Fc and snap-ant it does help to know that others make the same mistakes now and again,

I have come to the conclusion that this thread is a bit like a bus stop, you cant control who stands there waiting along side you but if you want to take the ride you have to learn to ignore the odd smelly person or the odd poor soul not enjoying full mental health. I think thats an alright trade off when the bus is as fantastic as this bus. There is also the possibility that you might end up queuing along side a future good friend and all round great egg. ;)

Good morning all. Just a three day week for me this week,:j

Really good post, made me smile. So nice to have such a variety of people who share concerns and tips with folk they don't know. Its a nice bus(normally)

Tomorrow I am off on a train, not been on one for years. I will remember these words and look for my new friend and maybe there will an offer in the metro, just the one though.:rotfl:
  • Good morning all, grotty weather out there!

Nice to see you posting Mad, hope you are starting to feel better.

As for banana splits, the best one I ever had was in Italy near Lake Garda, a place called Laziz. A little ice cream shop right on the sea front, sitting there watching a glorious sunset with the most delicious banana split with beautiful ice cream, lovely banana, and real whipped cream topped with several glace cherries. I can taste it even now :D

Morning everyone, no idea what madness I've missed

My to do list is as long as a football pitch so I won't be out to play yet, well not for days at this rate.

Eldest son wants a tacky Christmas jumper. I only do classy so I don't really have much of a clue what counts as tacky. I don't want to spend more than £20 as it will probably only be worn once - apparently its needed for a tacky Christmas jumper party.
It will be posted out to him (hes working away for the next 6 month) so I need to do this ASAP.
What is annoying is that we were in Chester last week and I could easily have gone to Primark - might end up having to do this again, go to Chester but I've not really got the time this week.
I don't want to look on amazon or ebay, far too many Christmas jumpers, just end up confused.

Anyway any clues as to what is tacky or ideas of where to look please?

I hold my hands up i FELL for it not realising what or who he was just tried to help but another lesson learnt on my part :( ......
just so annoying all the signs are there aswell so angry and  at myself i'm a little :o to say the least.

Miffie - AE's just go right over my head normally. I just assume that a few people are a bit obnoxious/rude/not folks I would want as friends - it never occurs to me that they are AE's until they are outed by someone else and even then I can't identify them.

I just didn't like this guy - definitely would change my seat on the bus if he sat next to me !

    2 packs = £5 compares to £2.80 = £2.20

    £3 - £2.20 = 80p minus 10% of £2.80 = 52p

I cannot see why my working is different but Im happy with whatever...

    So 8 tins is 52p

    32 tins is £2.08 plus 10 fillers @ £1.00

    £3.08 / 32 is 9p per tin...

    Noice!
