I am in the processing of fixing up my house to go on the market end of the month and looking for you guys to give me some hints and tips on making the house more buyer friendly.
I have started by painting the rooms in neutral colours and will either replace or shampoo the carpets that need it.
But what other hints/tips do you guys have that may make it more desirable for little money .
Thank all

Bit hard to say without seeing the house! I think most important is neutral walls and matching carpet throughout.
Most important is to clean, clean, clean, clean, clean! Everything, limescale round taps, marks on the skirting board, just everything. Windows inside and out.
When you declutter, you must make sure that everything has a home. That home must be out of sight; no shoving stuff down the sides of the sofa or shoving everything into a cupboard where the stuff falls out on to your viewers!
The outside of the house needs lots of attention. Do everything out there that you can - repainting the house/front door, cleaning the drive, weeding, nice bright borders, hanging baskets.
You can make kitchens and bathrooms over very cheaply for a quick fix.
Lose any soft furnishing with a frill on it :rolleyes:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Outside of the house at the back is fine, decking just went down. Painted all the window ledges. New PVU (PVC ?!?) door.
Will possibly tackle the front window ledges if the rain stays off - which I doubt !
Okay, will go home tonight, bit more painting then clean clean clean .
Thank you
