the @ key

i cannot type the [EMAIL="'@'"]'@'[/EMAIL] symbol on my laptop keyboard - does anyone know how to configure the keyboard so that it works?

I used an internet cafe in italy a few years back and had the same trouble, then lady quickly changed it to suit me but i have no idea how she did it???

Does @ come up when you press "Shift-2"? ie, press and hold shift, and then press the number 2.

on bottom tool bar you have a language bar icon
Does it say EN ??
If not click on and change to EN (UK)

Yup! sounds like you have a US keyboard.

Go in Control Panel (Start => control panel) and choose

Regional and Language options.

Change the defaults to English UK

Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Languages tab - Details - Settings tab. Set Default input language and Installed services to English (UK) with UK keyboard. Click Add if it isn't UK and choose UK keyboard.
