Ps2 games at wholesale prices???

There is a website I have come across that enable you to buy games at wholesale prices, up to 75% off. They actually deal with dropshipping. However, you need to be a member for an annual fee of £50.

Is there anyone already a member? Should I trust?

Dropshipping isnt advisable, since its your business image thats tarnished if they make a mistake. The 75% excuse will be a few dead products, the average you’ll find for recent games will be 15% max, since that’s what most stores work from.

    I agree with DMDz.

Most games are not sold at retail anyway. The last game my sons bought on the day of release had an RRP of £39.99. Most high street shops were selling it at between £29.99 and £34.99 but we got a good deal at a small store at £23.99.

A wholesale package will not only have the best sellers like above, it will have lesser games as well that can be bought at less than £10 on which you will technically make a loss.

After taking into account your ebay listing fees, Final value fees and paypal charges you might not be able to make a profit.

As well as all that you will get the negatives and annoyed buyers when your dropshipper can't deliver in the time frame expected by buyers. Who guarantees the items in the post in case one goes astray, it will be you who gets the paypal chargeback?

Do your research very throughly before going ahead with a dropshipper. You need to know exactly what they can offer you and whether that stock is 100% guaranteed. You also need to see what your competitors are currently selling for on ebay. You might even be up against sellers for the same drop shipper who will undercut your prices to remain sellers themselves.

Sorry, I know I shouldn't follow up my own post but I wa sjust looking at the site.

A couple of things spring to mind. Firstly in the FAQ they say:

"Do you stock the very latest chart topping games for a fiver?

No we do not, If you think you can buy the latest releases for virtually nothing then you really are barking up the wrong tree."

The list of titles available bears this out, most are low end titles.

It also gives an example of profitability:

Let's say you intend to sell a Game CD from our site that costs £5.00. You would sell that Game for a price you would determine, let's use £10.00 plus £2.00 shipping for an example. After you collect the payment of £12.00 from the customer and their mailing address, you would forward the £5.00 plus £2.00 Shipping to us, and keep the £5.00 as profit, never having to touch the Product"

That £5 profit will be further reduced by all your ebay and paypal fees. I also think the suggested £2 p and P is high and you might have to reduce that to make a sale.

The FAQs are interesting, it also refers to a normal shipping time of 7-10 days which is slow for people using paypal who would expect their item within a week usually.

Finally it says if you sell and item and they subsequently run out of stock you will have to refund the buyer. Ooh, that could get you a negative and a non performing seller warning.

Definitely do your research before signing up.
