Dreams faulty mattress

I purchased a mattress from dreams on 8/10/12. The mattress we were looking at, we was told, was also available in the clearance section if we didn't mind a slight dirty mark on the side of it.
We agreed with this as it seemed a no brainer to us as we was assured that it wasn't faulty in any other way.
Our mattress has since become faulty with the latex layer leaving dents and not springing back. Dreams have sent someone to look at it and have agreed it is faulty.
The problem now starts as we wanted a replacement (same name/make) which they have said they can provide us the same one but we have now to pay full pops for it - and extra £400 or choose another mattress for the cost of the faulty one.
Can someone please advise me of my rights on this matter as is doesn't seem fair that we have to pay an extra £400 to get the same mattress.

Youre entitled to a refund, replacement or repair (not really relevant to a mattress)
You dont get to choose though, and dreams can choose what is cheapest for them. In this case they could just offer you a refund (even a partial one as you have had some use of it)
It is unlikely they will replace it with a brand new one. You are only entitled to another soiled clearance mattress.
At the end of the day you only paid £400 so thats all you are entitled to. I'm not sure if loss of bargain would apply in this case...0 -
