That's what I'm thinking. Maybe my colleagues are getting it when they're not supposed to be but I don't want to be the one to cause a storm.0

Seriously I don't think they are getting the allowance for tights but for the uniform (= skirt, jacket etc)
There was a case a few years back where a female barrister tried to claim the cost of clothes that she wore in court (ie a white blouse black skirt) and she was refused on the basis that they could be worn anywhere and not just to work2014 Target;
