now I know why

Last year I decided to save a few quid and change energy provider. Ive just used over 2 hours speaking to a call center representative of the company concerned to conclude that he knows absolutly nothing about energy or the costs. Not even the differance between a cost with VAT and without VAT
this is someone placed there to speak and help their customers. What a charade
The decision to change providers was mine and I can now well understand why some people are so frustrated by the inept atttude of the energy providers and their total lack of concern about their costomers. they dont give a s+++++
I was hoping that my conversation with the representative would enlighten me as to why my account did not reflect the useage or the recorded consumption, but that was not the way he drove the conversation . the way forward was that I was wrong I have not read the meter the right way and even if I had i was unable to calculate the total coast or the value of VAT. I did leave the conversation in mid sentance havind heard enough. Ill try again to talk direct to the provider. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no wonder I'm Wellworn.

Welcome to the board, Wellborn, whatever, you feel better for a good rant.
I always choose the price section when asking for final figures on a comparison site, mainly because the service ratings are just not realistic.
What was it that guided you to your eventual supplier ?
  • As a newbi and the rant went to the wrong board my apologies olly 300. I must learn my war round the site a little speedier. I went to this provider because of their published stance on ethical issues, a issue that I have some feeling for and dont complain about supporting. The extra unit cost could be a genuine way of helping the environment or just plain product marketing that sells at a premium I will have to find out and will keep you posted. I M Wellworn

It's not the wrong board but I thought you would get a better response on that board. ;)

BTW what utility company is it? I would like to avoid their "customer service" when I change suppliers.
