I've been making patchwork quilts with remnants and outgrown clothes for years, so that idea is old hat, BUT, DD used all her bits and bobs, bought 90 metres of strong ribbon and made bunting! Now whenever anyone in the family has a party, specially in the summer in the garden, out come the flags for a jolly effect.0

I use my (large) OH's shirts to make myself night shirts.
I unpick the collar and resew it up to make a tiny soft grandad collar and cut off the cuffs and re-hem to make three quarter length sleeves. They make lovely light comfy easy to wash nightshirts for this time of year.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

Any ideas what I could make with them (the collars aren't good enough to be given to charity shop).powershopper wrote: »DD used all her bits and bobs, bought 90 metres of strong ribbon and made bunting! I was also going to suggest bunting. I went to a wedding reception held in a marquee that had been decorated with home made bunting. Triangles of different small patterned / pastel coloured fabric had been sewn 6/8" apart onto white cotton tape. It looked fantastic and not at all home made (which it was).
I helped take it down the day after and it was easily stored by just folding the tape backwards and forwards and putting the triangles on top of each other IYSWIM.0
