Actually I can't be bothered, I've just been graciously invited to leave this forum by one of the regulars who apparently own the place, so that's what I shall do. If you want to hear about my latest blow against Aldi/ParkingEye I daresay someone will see it in the news sooner or later.

I suspect that many of the free car parking facilities which are now under the car park management of PPC's with time restrictions are in breach of planning regulations and believe that this point should be included for POPLA and any LBCC or court defences.
Also the VOA are responsible for setting domestic and business rates but these are actually collected by council's local taxation department which is separate to planning.0 -
Brilliant and a reason why we don't want to lose you!
Bookmarked this thread as it can be worked into other appeals.0 -
Bazster -please reinstate your original message on this thread!- I have just been reading another thread where some of your comments have been criticised - however please do not take offence by these as it is just a robust discussion thread and not to be taken personally.
Anybody with ideas to target PPC's by whatever method makes a valued contribution to this board and the parking charges and parking companies need to be targeted by many different angles.0 -

Grow up okay, you are the one saying you are leaving because you disagree with contacting debt collectors, I happen to think it can be constructive at times.
But now because I said that you make your own choices on staying or leaving you pull this thread ! So in effect because you cannot handle debate you restrict people the chance of looking at this thread and gaining something from it.
If you act like this you give even more chance for the likes of parking eye to scam people, if that's what you want so be it! But I'm not making apologies or withdrawing anything I've said, it's up to you but I have not asked you to leave at all. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Can you elaborate please ? My local council said that Aldi dont need planning consent to introduce parking charges or restrictions via PE on council owned land.0

It varies. So take my local Aldi for example, they only got permission to use the store if the car park allowed :
> 3 Hours free parking
> Was managed using methods agreed by the council
> That other users of local shops could also use it
Aldi changed the conditions to only be Aldi shoppers and for only 2 hours. The council fined them in the end once it had been pointed out to them what the original planning consents were. How were these consents discovered ? By using the councils own web page and looking at the planning permission agreements.0 -

Looks like the councils act differently. Ive personally contacted the council and looked at their online planning permissions dating back to 1991. They have nothing in writing or any consents in relation to parking restrictions and they tell me say its not required. Also no covenants in force (I have land registry records). In this case PE are restricting people to 2 hours free parking.0 -
Back to the matter in hand. What about those non-Aldi motorists who have paid up? Are they getting refunds from Aldi/PE If not then PE have lots of questions to ask. I think a feature in the local paper alerting people to this is a good move. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

This was the topic bazster originally started but his original post was more detailed/
And so Aldi's disregard for planning permission continues. Central Bedfordshire Council have now confirmed that the parking at the Aldi Dunstable store is for ALL local shoppers not just Aldi shoppers. Guess what restriction Aldi have placed on it ???? Any proper response Weber Shandwick ?0
