Maybe another message might get the ball rolling.
There is always the chance that they have email or internet problems and can not reply to you, but you are the gifter and you need it to go ASAP and are not responsible for the problems (or possible ignorance) of other people.
Yesterday I picked up an offer and thanked them when I collected and I hope they realised how please I was to have won their gift. The lady is offering lots of items so I chose not to send another email because she must be inundated with requests.
I waited over a week for someone to work out when they could pick up something I offered and then I gave them to someone else. Still heard nothing from the original person after a month but that is their loss.
Interesting point that was raised on another site about taking flowers, chocolate or wine as a thank you. Someone turned up with a bunch of flowers and the gifter was allergic to pollen and got a bit upset. I had never thought of that before.0 -
Still available, over a hundred blank videos that have been used to
tape various films and series off the telly. Could be used to watch or
to reuse. Happy to split if you only want so many, just don't want to
send them off to landfill.0 -

Hi Agutka - welcome to the thread!
I know what you mean about people being quick to email to say they want an item, and then its days before they reply about picking up the item.
I don't give them my address until they give me a specific day/time to pick up the item and never just leave it in the porch - if nothing else, I don't want them knowing the house is unattended, as after all we're communicating with strangers.
If I email them to say that yes, they can have the item, I tell them that if I don't get a reply with a firm arrangement to pick up the item within the next 48 hours, then I'll offer it to the next person on my list.
Hope that helps - enjoy the thread
PamThank you for your responses.
If people can respond to an offer within seconds of it appearing on the board, then they should be able to respond to you.
And of course they have my email - that's how we communicate about where and when to pick up. Personally I have sent huge thank yous to the two people I picked up from. I have yet to receive any messages for the six items I gave away. It just seems weird... But I am new to this...
I offered an item to someone yesterday, asking for an asap pick up. But there has been no reply, even though initially she said she could pick up immediately (that's why I picked her). I have had interest from five other people. Three days, wow. But then again I am in a hurry, as when I offer I put the items in my porch and they are in my way until someone picks up.
Ho hum. Maybe another message might get the ball rolling.0 -
