Threads are not usually left to go over 1000 posts before there is a new thread. The last one went to 2566, and so seeing as though no one here started a new thread, heather had no choice!

If you didn't know that, then you should have found out before critising heather for starting the new one.

How immature to think she did it 'to get her name first'! She is a Mod, it's what they do. If you want your name first' then be prepared to start one when this reaches the 1000 mark.

having a "clique" in here doesn't scare away new posters, if you look at the other thread, you'll see we welcome other new posters with open arms.

as you have being a member of 2 "cliques" in your signature, i find this a bit cheeky to comment on us. anyone is welcome here, anytime. but we won't all stop posting, or there would be no thread anyways

edited to add, i disagreed with dobbiesloan post too, i can see why a new thread had to be started, and realise heather didn't start it for her own good, as I've put across in an earlier post.

Quite a few new posters have joined recently, with comments such as 'so glad I found this thread' and 'you're a great group' :T

wanted pine king size bedstead, orthopedic matress, pine wardrobes, drawers and bedside table, must be able to deliver, as i don't have a van to collect.

This has probably already been mentioned somewhere, but the group I have just joined is only allowing 'Wanted' posts on one day of the week (Wednesdays). It seems to be working very well. Maybe more groups should adopt it as a policy.

i like the idea, but would miss laughing at the more ridiculous ones on a daily basis, lol.

I think that's a really good idea - that, and a ban on 'shopping lists' would please a lot of freecyclers :T
