Want to refund

Hi all:j:j:j :j:j:j(yes too much coffee),

I want to refund some of the postage cost paid by a buyer, I had deliberately set it high (£15.00) to encourage collection only but feel bad taking so much to post when it's cost me so little (£4.00).

Is it the issue refund button in paypal or will that send all the money back?

TIA

Press the refund button then change the amount to the amount you wish to refund.

I've refunded a very understanding buyer in the past when I was late posting their goods.
I just put the cash in an envelope with a note and put it in the parcel!

Why use eBay if you are only selling to a handful of local people? Might as well use free ads and save all the fees.

Also of course you have the PayPal on collection issue, really not worth the effort for items that can easily be posted.

Thankyou everyone for your input and advice.

Refund given this morning - have a happy buyer who said they had been happy paying what they did and not expecting anything less!

Reason for trying collection was the packing as I did not have anything in which to pack safely due to awkward shape and small mirrors on it. But also listed as postal because had been searching a way to make posting possible and had planned on changing price if I found suitable method.

Based on information from people I know and have spoken to; people just do a search and only limit to collection only if they have an item in mind already. Thus limiting possible buyers.
