I have a company called Green Leaf Finance on a bank statement, who are they, how did they get my details, and how can I claim my money back?

Have you taken any kind of finance recently, for anything, like buying a sofa on interest free credit for a year? If you have, you may find that whilst you bought the furniture from, say, Harveys for example, Green Leaf Finance are the company handling the credit agreement.
If nothing like that, then you need to get onto your bank sharpish and find out more details about it, report it as fraudulent activity if it's nothing to do with you.0 -

Do what Stooby2 says. The company appear to be legit, although the conditions described in their Contact Us section make it look like they could be using an accommodation address, but if you haven't taken out any finance it may have been done fraudulently.

Ah, grumpycrab's post sheds rather more light (and I see the fees have gone up since that thread was started).0 -
I think it safe to assume you have been searching for a loan online and entered your details.forgettingthefuture wrote: »I have a company called Green Leaf Finance on a bank statement, who are they, how did they get my details, and how can I claim my money back?0 -
Yes, I have searched for a loan, but it wasn't with this company, plfinder.co.uk and amigoloans.co.uk, but I wasn't accepted.
Going to write, and see what I they can do.
Thanks.0 -

I bet your details were passed on to GLF, dont go entering your card/account details willy nilly.0 -

Looking at the smallprint it seems that plfinder charges you up to £39.99 for their service and in the event that you don't get approved for a loan, you have to ask for this money to be returned (less a fee of £5).
