Just a rant not a discussion. Had 2 identical replies from different profiles from this site. Guess what. you have to subscribe in order to see profiles. This industry really needs to be regulated as they seem to completely false. Another point that wories me is that peoples profiles and pictures are used illegitimately. I don't have a picture on file yet I am getting these stunning girls viewing my profile, and guess what, I have to sign up to see their profile. It is such a con in my opinion.People are being taking advantage of not only people seeking but also peoples files pictures and profiles.
Rant over.

There was a documentary on dating sites not so long ago. On CH4 I think it was.
Most sites have what they call "ghost" profiles, or you get similar messages from people.
Its all to get you to pay up of course. Frankly its all a waste of time and money.
I don't have any profiles on any dating sites, but I know the free ones are generally crap, and ones like match.com are just bloody expensive!!0 -
I agree. What does bother me is thart use , probably ( who knows), genuine profiles in the course of their, quite frankly, deception. That's what really winds me up.0

I had a notification from this website some months back claiming that a guy I went on a couple of dates had left me a message on the site, and indeed, had to signed up to read it. I'm happily married now, so no interest in doing so anyway, but I did find it very strange, especially as this guy had my mobile number and email address (not changed), so don't see why he would have gone there to get in touch with me and that wouldn't have been his style anyway. I suspect it wasn't him at all and his picture was stolen.0

It's the modern world. Every company is out to scam as much money out of you as they can get their hands on. If it sounds too good to be true then it is. If this problem of bots sending out copy and paste messages to people to make them think they're the next super hunk until they sign up and start paying ever gets sorted then they'll just come up with some other scam. Like sending round the local prostitutues to take people on dates after they've paid enough money to the website.0
