Neutral Feedback

wondering if anyone can help,
a friend has been doing a bit of selling on Ebay, having a bit of declutter and all was going well.
Then today he received neutral feedback, the item only worked ten minutes
then packed up, they waited a week before leaving this feed back and
didn't contact just left the feedback.
If the buyer had contacted he would have refunded no problem.
Phoned Ebay and they said there is nothing much he can do.
its not a negative but he is feeling a bit miffed
the value of the item £1.45

I guess the buyer couldn't be bothered to chase up a refund for £1.45 (with a possible requirement to post the item back), but wanted to point out that it was unsatisfactory.0

Once the refund has been given you can send a feedback revision request, and the buyer might up to a positive.

Contact the buyer and ask them if they would revise if you gave a refund.
I've had this a few times where buyers have left me neutral for INR, but made no contact - seems daft, we both lose when they do that, but their perogative.0 -
Tell your friend not to worry. A neutral is not going to have any significant impact.
I wouldn't contact the buyer or offer a refund. I would just add something like this as a comment to the feedback:
"No contact from buyer, a full refund would have been given if requested."
As a buyer, that feedback and comment would not put me off buying if the rest of the feedback was ok.0 -
"Your friends" secret is safe with meNB...People online who are here asking advice for "my friend" they really mean "myself" :eek:0
