I am looking to go to counselling. Obviously whether it works or not is down to the 2 people involved in the relationship & the counsellor you get. I'm just after advice on finding a good one.
Relate I have heard of previously, are they the best, as 'non profit' they are focused on spending the right time on your problems, rather than dragging things out for more money?
What is the normal cost per session?
How long is a typical session? 1hr?
Do they sign a confidentiality agreement? Obvious exceptions apply - if they feel someone is in danger etc
I'm more on about discussing with others, mentioning names to people etc as this would be a major reason not to go.
I haven't been in a great relationship, this is something already dealt with on here. I have taken measures since last post, so please lets not go back to that. This is looking forward to see if options can be looked into, or not.

All counsellors will respect your confidentiality so I wouldn't worry about that. Neither are most counsellors in it to make money. Relate are a possibility - not everyone finds them good, a lot depends on how much you can afford to pay. There are plenty of counsellors about - the most important thing is that you find one you are comfortable with and who will do more than just listen.0
