Ahhhh!

Options
I am a student and I have run out of money. My Student loan is less than my accommodation, my parents give me £20 a week (which is all they can afford) and they have given me an extra £100 as being £100 in my over draft. I will get some money after Christmas which will pay off my over draft and give the £100 back to my mum and dad.

But I am so stressed about having no money

go to the student support people at the university, and apply for a hardship loan / grant.

they may not be able to help - but they may be able to give you some money... It won't be a quick fix as it involves a huge form, and then they have to assess it - but it is worth looking...

look on turn 2 us - which may point out some grants that you can apply for.

ask student support if your university run a job shop - which may help you find part time work...

it sucks having no money - but good luck. xx

Read the OS boards on ways to eat for pence.
Any bar work around? Milk & crisps do not keep body & soul together but beat starving entirely.
Any fruit & veg Markets within reach? As end of trade veg that have fallen to the ground can still be washed, scraped, cooked & taste delicious.
  • Why is your accommodation more than your loan? If you're in uni owned halls, it's usually possible to move to other (cheaper) uni owned halls.
