Any more opinions on the tea bags? I usually buy Twinings / Yorkshire / Sainsbos Red Label, if anyone has similar taste and lies the Lidl ones please let me know.

My ex was a cast-iron Twinings fan and wouldn't drink any other tea. She was a total brand snob.

I made her tea with my Lidl tea bags for a few days and she didn't notice any difference at all.

When I revealed to her what she'd been drinking, to my utter surprise, she was pleased instead of throwing a wobbly. She now only drinks the Lidl tea and has started to become open to stuff from Lidl and Aldi.

You can't go wrong at £2 for 160 bags. And these are sometimes half-price so we stock up on loads of boxes. As she used to spend about £6 on a box of Twinings (mental!), I reckon she's saved loads over the year just by changing her tea bags. Give 'em a try!!

The Lidl offer ones claim to be "specially selected varieties for roasting & mashing"

Curious marketing phrase that Dl...roasters and chips I would thought need to be firm whilst cooking.... and mashers not.
Last winter when looking for taters I noticed that Lidl cheapest chips, already cooked , or maybe half cooked, were same price as the fresh bagged taters, at that time 53p kg.
