Motability car damage

Hi, I've got a motability car, and today I skidded on leaves, pushing me into the kerb, and this has resulted in the wheel trim being scraped. It's the edge of it.
Not sure what to do?! Is this an insurance job? Via motability of course, or is it something and nothing??!
Thanks in advance

When you say wheel trim,do you mean alloy wheel? if its a front wheel and not causing any steering judder (from the wheel being off balance) and thats the only damage its not really a reporting matter.0

You may loose the money they give you if the car goes back in good condition. I think you pay the first £70ish of any repair?
Last car we took back we had a £200 good condition payment, so its really up to you to decide which way to go?0 -
My research of this suggests that the car can be returned with what is considered 'fair wear and tear'. This would include minor damage to wheels / trims aswell as average supermarket car park 'dinks' in the cars body. Indeed Motability seems to be quite accepting of such damage. As long as you don't have a laugh and return a car that looks like it's been through world war 3 then you stand a better than average chance of getting the 'fair condition' bonus.0

they have chilled out over minor damage these days in the past they used to make you clim for every scratch over a certain size. be careful about having too many claim on the motabilty insurance as they may refuse to renew0

Contact rsa and ask them. Someone ran a knife down mine but they were OK about it. They actually wrote a letter to say I had told them and advised that I wouldn't be penalised for this when it was handed back0
