Broken part

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me please?
I bought a bespoke blind from an online company 2 years ago. They guarantee parts for 3 years.
The part that broke was the stick and hook (made of Perspex) used to close the slats. It always looked pretty cheap and flimsy to me tbh and it broke in course of normal use.
Anyway, they say the blind has been discontinued so have offered me 40% off a new blind.
I'm not really happy with this. The blinds aren't up to standard from my experience and I'd rather have a replacement (but they only offer that up to 1 year after purchase.
Am I within my rights to push for a new blind? I would let it go but it was quite expensive and bespoke.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

No, you don't have the right to push for a new blind, they can choose to repair, replace or refund and they can reduce the amount offered by the amount of use you've had out of the blind, which is probably where they got the 40% off a new blind from.
Is it this part that has broken?

Thanks Peachyprice but they aren't offering to repair, replace or refund. I wouldn't mind any of those things.
They are inviting me to spend more money with them because of their shonky mechanism.
Yes that's a similar part.0 -
Well they can't repair, or replace with the same because it's discontinued, so it only leaves a refund, from which they can take off an amount to take into account the use you've had, so why not ask them for the equivalent of the 40% off a new blind as a cash refund.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
