Thanks for those catznine, it's fascinating isn't it to see the differences. Having said that I remember my grandmother having a cooker just like the one in the picture! That dates me, LOLYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

It is a fantastic place to look around and there were many people there who like us were saying "I remember my Gran having one of those" and "My Grandad used to have that" we took loads of photos but I now need another hosting site in order to pop them on here. I love the old washing machine!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

under all the bikes and paintpots in the washhouse in our backyard is one of those "washing machines".
DH keeps threatening to rip it out to make more room for storage. OH NO HE WON'T.

Just realised, that's the same cooker i used to cook for DH with, before we were married, when he lived in a bedsit. Happy memories:D Actually i knocked up some pretty good meals on it. You had to be imaginative and reaourceful:rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
