Sounds like shes leaving or getting sacked anyway.

Its so hard to get rid of useless people these days...what with all our HR laws and the like. Personally I prefer eastern europeans working within the hospitality sector. Better service and more professional...not had a reason to complain so far!

What we need to do is get away from all these useless employment laws. 'Job & knock'....Friday afternoon and "your sacked" type stuff. SImple.

    No.

But they are cheaper and quicker. I didnt think they would be but looking at their work its not bad at all!

As for the eastern european hospitality staff....well they DO put in a bit more effort.

Probably luck of the draw. I've worked with hundreds and their no different to engilish people it terms of amount of work done. A lot of them seem to moan more than the english. Surprisingly the Polish moaned constantly about being cold last winter?

My son has worked down in England for the last year.

He has been in his present post for 7 months. He is a proud Scot. In this time he has seen 18 Eastern Europeans leave the hotel. He currently works approximately 75 hours a week ( his choice). He has just become the youngest employee ever in this ( very respectable) hotel chain, to be offered an under-managers position. He has served many high profile customers, and has even received gifts and been invited to socialise with a few of the stars he served, such was the service he provided. He is equally committed to providing excellent service to every customer, whether a businessman, or a granny out for her birthday.

I think it is rather unfair to generalise in this way, as part of my sons job is to run around correcting errors made by staff, mostly but i must stress, not always, Eastern Europeans. I am very proud that my son has the ambition to work so hard.

Oh, and by the way, he is 17 years old.
    I don't know much, but I know I love you ....<3

I assume he has left school to be working all those hours!!

if not this might be useful:
If you're under 18, still at school and working there are some legal restrictions on your hours. You're not allowed to:
    • Work before 7am or after 7pm
    • Work for more than two hours on a school day or for more than one hour before school
    • Work for more than eight hours on Saturdays or holidays, or two hours on Sundays
    • Work for more than 35 hours a week during the holidays
  • Ellybelly,

Jinty271 was lying to make a point which MAY exist. In any event

Alot of people do this on this site, some people claim that Tesco have refunded a complete shopping for a late delivery, people have stated all sorts of blatant lies on here but all it does is ruin a thread.

17 year olds being made an unermanagement course for a respectable hotel (celebs go there)? ? The kid is barely allowed to enter a kitchen and pick up a enough legally.
