I have been watching Martin on TV a lot lately and I never have sorted my credit file with all three agencies, thought if you did it with one it sorted them all out..anyway long story short.. I have got on to call credit and equifax. This morning I got my pin for call credit and logged on and started sifting through. lots of things to sort like the dates at addresses are all wrong and I have to notify them that some of the accounts are now under an IVA due to being left in a lot of debt after my marriage broke down... so after looking through and noting the minor changes needing to be made I scrolled through the search history, all ok Insurance quotes, preliminary insurance searches.. then this one company - finance company had numerous entries for searches some said checking application... then two said this Money laundering product ...& money laundering.....??? what on earth, it is a company I had a debt with the said debt is now in the IVA.. but money laundering and money laundering product..surely this affects me what do I do??? and how do I get that removed , I haven't done anything wrong?? HELP

You don't have to notify the agencies about accounts in IVA and/or defaults, etc. That's the responsibility of the lender.
The money laundering searchs, as far as I am aware, are standard searches done by companies like online gambling sites. They are not visible to lenders when they search your report. Only you can see them.
If there are errors in your report, you contact the company that recorded those, not the credit agency itself. The credit agency will not remove or change things for you.
As an example, if Halifax recorded a default that you feel is incorrect, it's Halifax you need to get in touch with, not Equifax/Experian/Callcredit. If Halifax agree that it's their error, they'll contact the agencies to have it removed.0 -
