    it's parking eye.

Do not ignore ParkingEye. I repeat, do not ignore ParkingEye. Do you like defending court claims, were you aware they are the most litigious PPC now, with thousands of ignorers having received small claims papers in just a few months in Summer/Autumn 2013?

If you are still in time to appeal you can do so online in 2 minutes flat and then you can do the POPLA thing.

when was the original parking eye ticket issued.

Also in what car park was it issued? ie Aldi/the Range/any other retailer, a service area?

You mean the incident was in August? When did you get the first letter was what we were asking, was it received by Avis within 14 days (check with Avis)? Probably was and the keeper is well out of time to appeal. But you say Avis gave PE the name and address of the hirer. So when did the HIRER get their copy of the PCN? Was that sent by PE within the last 28 days because if so then the hirer is still in time to appeal?!

As this is Parking Eye, you will likely end up with court papers if you do not act. So how about:

    1. Phone up the Welcome Break number shown in post #3 of the 'Successful Complaints about PPCs' sticky thread. Don't email the CEO as he seems to have been 'got at' and warned off cancelling these in recent weeks, by PE, who HATE people complaining to their clients (all the more reason to complain then!). If you look at the links in post #1 of that sticky, about Welcome Break, the more recent successes by ringing the number and complaining have been where the OP has been very polite but miffed about all the harassment by PE, and agreed to pay £10 overstay fee plus £10 admin. So phone WB and consider making an offer (but NOT to PE).

    OR

    2. If the hirer is out of time to appeal (28 days from their PCN) but if the driver MAY NOT have been the hirer named by Avis, then send PE a letter naming the driver (name and address). That forces PE to send the driver their own PCN and rewinds the appeal clock. Driver can then win at POPLA by the new year.

Option 2 is best as you'll pay nothing if you follow our POPLA appeal advice which wins every time right now.

  • Hi,
The initial PCN to Avis was dated 22 August (Date Issued).

The next PCN 14 September (Date Issued).

I was the Hirer & the only named Driver - so Option 1 is my only recourse, at the moment. Will give that a go & let you know how I get on.

    Thanks again!! :money:
