    Thanks for your replies everyone. I just kept asking, even after getting several replies, because I wondered if others thought I was being impatient too. Seemingly I am not, and everyone thinks this is unacceptable. So thanks for that reassurance peeps :j

    SO anyway, an update. They rang me at 11am today (JUST as I was about to go see them to ask what was happening,) and they said they had rung the supplier and they said, the date for delivery had been 'entered wrong,' and that instead of putting Tuesday 5th: they had put Tuesday 12th November, so it won't be at the shop til next Tuesday now! (This one supplier only delivers on Tuesday apparently, and their other one who didn't have the one we wanted at that time, delivers Fridays...)

    So I said to her 'another week? errrrm, the trouble is, we have been waiting 10 days already, and then that's another week on top, and then another week potentially before you could fit it' (as they won't arrange a fitting until it has come!) - 'so it's potentially another 2 weeks til we get it in our house ...' I told her I would have to talk to my OH, but the likelihood is that we may cancel it. I told her I would ring her back in about an hour to let her know for sure. She said 'I could try the other supplier we use...they didn't have one in stock last week..' So I said 'if you like yeah..'

    So 10 minutes later, she rang me and said 'the other supplier has one in now, and they said they can deliver it to the shop tomorrow!' So it should be fitted by midweek next week.

    So watch this space! ;) If it is not in by tomorrow, and we don't have a promised fitting date by 5pm tomorrow, we will cancel and go elsewhere...

  • Well the cooker came! (Yesterday.) At 4.30pm yesterday, the woman in the shop phoned, and gave us a date for fitting for next Tuesday.
