The thread started out as SP letters then someone mentions a NP letter. The Sp letter mentions if you have changed tariff recently ignore this letter.A lot of us changed months ago.I think i changed August time.

I have a similar problem. We switched to the Online Fixed Rate September 2014 deal back in Feb. Got a letter through yesterday to say my prices were increasing and listing my tariff as 'standard'. Unfortunately can't get online to check (have raised a separate enquiry ticket about my log in issues *sigh*).

Am esp worried as I've just read through my last bill carefully, and it says "You are on our Standard - Monthly Direct Debit package". I did spot that when the bill came through, but thought it was just referring to me having chosen a standard method of payment. The actual cost of the bill matched what I was expecting to pay under the Online Fixed tariff.

Couldn't get through by phone and have sent an online query, but it's just another headache I really didn't need at the moment. I had thought my utilities were all sorted for now :(

Thought it might be helpful to update my part of this thread. Finally got a reply to my online query today (7 working days after submitting it, and after hassling them on twitter and their social media e-mail address - very slow customer service). It turns out I had, in fact, been switched to their Standard Plan 'in error'. They've now switched me back and backdated it to when my contract with them started.

Makes you wonder how many other people they've 'accidentally' switched.

Had a reply email from SP saying i am not on a fixed tariff and will change to a new deal on 6th Dec when i already mailed them and said i had already switched months ago.
Decided to call them and had the option to get a call back so used that option.
Sp guy called and could see i had fixed for 2 years from may 2013 so dropped the price of my direct debit and i am getting a refund as have been on the wrong tariff since June 1st.
So at last sorted it but really it was a problem that shouldnt have happened at all.

LannieDuck same as me then. What is wrong with their system that some of us seems to have been put on the wrong tariff !
And i say it again but where is the SP rep thats usually comes on here ?

Sorry to drag this thread up but i am still having trouble with account on SP.
I had a conformation email saying i had fixed in May2013 till 2015 and would get a refund and DD would go down. 5days after that i get a email saying my fixed tariff will run out in Jan 2014 !
Been trying to call them and after 10 mins just get cut off and no option for a call back.
I am just so fed up with sorting this out when they know i have fixed till 2015.

I went via their online enquiries in the end. No response within 5 days, so tried them on twitter. On 1/3 occasions, that worked.

The remaining two times I then went on to use their socialmedia e-mail address (social@ etc), pointing out that they hadn't responded to my online request within their self-imposed deadline, and had subsequently ignored me on twitter. That got a prompt response both times.

Had it been needed, my next stop would have been their complaints dept - I found a webpage that lists their complaints policy and the response times for complaints. You still have to wait a week or so, but you're much more likely to actually hear back.

Thanks Lannie. I have been on to Twitter to them but i dont see why i am still trying to sort this out as i have in a email from them 3 weeks ago confirming that i have fixed till 2015 and they have taken no notice of that.
