Switching and locking in

Hi guys, just looking for a bit of advice regarding switching.

I am on the EDF blue price promise may 14 and that is still the cheapest option for me.

Just looking ahead to May i'm trying to see if I can get another deal to lock in for longer. None of the deals at the moment are comparable and all of them are more expensive.

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of bargaining for a better deal with EDF or extending my lock in period.

Is it as simple as when bargaining with mobile providers etc?

Any advice and help would be appreciated

Dave

You can't negotiate individual tariffs with suppliers.
Since you are currently on a cheap fix, of course the fix options for 2015 or 2017 are going to be much more expensive, because they cover last year's and this year's increase (probably on 1/1/14), plus those in future years.
