I intermittently get the message "server busy" when firing up the laptop. Has anyone got any suggestions why this happens? It only occurred when we moved to BT:(

You say it happens when firing up the laptop, not when trying to access particular websites?
A server busy message is normally related to accessing servers - whether that is a webserver or some other sort, so if it's before you try to connect to anything, then we'd need more info...
What computer is it?
What operating system?
What BT broadband are you using?
