Greenhouse Insulation

Hi all
I've repaired the panes of glass that went during the storm and my thoughts now turn towards the approaching winter. I plan to insulate my greenhouse with bubble wrap so I thought I'd ask here to see if I could get some suggestions about good suppliers. I know I want the larger bubble stuff to allow more light through.
Any recommendations will be gratefully received.

Sorry I can't help with the insulation problem but was interested to hear that you repaired your glass, I had some panes break last winter and repaired them with gaffer tape this has held well but I noticed that after the hot weather it has started to look worse for wear. Is their a better way to repair glasshouse glass?0

I haven't bought any for 10 years or more, but when I did it was from LBS as a trade customer.
I would look at polytunnel sellers' sites and perhaps plastics specialists, who are most likely to have the UV stabilized stuff.
Mine is still usable, so it does last the distance if you find the correct thing.0 -
Sorry, by repair I meant replaced!
I shall follow your advice Davesnave!0 -
If you're looking for bubble wrap, try asking on your local freecycle group. Bound to be someone near you with some stashed away.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

Yes, but bubble wrap isn't UV stabilized, so it won't last long in full sun and the results when it 'goes' can be messy!
However, bubble wrap would be OK for a season or two.0 -
Davesnave is right, you can use tthe UV unstabilised kind but the stabilised is better. Even though I know it isn't recommended, I leave mine (UV stablised) in place all year to act as shading in the summer and mine has lasted for quite a few years with the odd tape repair here and there. Obviously, I clear the vents for summer, but despite the dire warnings of pests and diseases if I don't remove it and clean the house thoroughly, it has worked for me (so far!).0
