Is this a scam?

I don't think that there is any doubt that it was an attempted scam.
If it wasn't, the money would have appeared in the receiving account long ago, and there is no way that the person collecting the computer would have left to get a train without either their goods or the £1900 being returned.0 -

not difficult to fake a screen shot - for a couple of grand you'd spend more than 5 minutes on it0 -

He inspected the laptop, before making a phone to his 'Dad' who had apparently transferred the money to my account (from Lloyd's to Natwest), but it would take 2 hours and he had to catch a train, so he supplied with a 'screenshot' of the transaction successful screen from his Dad's online banking.
To cut a long story short, the money never arrived, and thankfully, I never gave him the laptop. I have a screenshot he provided me with although as I'm a new user I can't post it up. Can someone else post it for other's to see if I message you the link? Is there anything on this to indicate it's fraudulent?
Out of interest what did the guy say when you told him he couldn't have the laptop? It's someone else's fault.0 -
Looks fake to me.
- As has been pointed out, the page name is wrong.
- The font for the account holder's name doesn't look right to me - looks like it has been added in.
- There is darker shading around all of the text, which doesn't look right to me (although I don't have a real Lloyds webpage to compare it against).

Also, you can't make payments from a Lloyds Savings Account directly.
He would have had to transfer the money into another Lloyds Current Account in order to send it to you. The message would then have not mentioned Savings Account.0 -
Yeah could be, certainly sounds odd0

Looks like a scam to me...0

I've just done a transfer from my Lloyds account. This is definitely dodgy. Main reason being the URL - this should end makepayment/makepaymentsuccessful.jsp."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I would definately also bring this to the attention of Lloyds as their fraud team may be interested.0
