Yes if you send money to someone else and they send the money back to you to withdraw, I send money to my sister each month and she sends it straight back and then I put it in the account the DD is coming from.

Thanks Westie. When you said "Use the add funds button..." it sounded like it was possible to do it by topping up your own account again. :(

Not aware of any - if you want to donate something useful to the NHS then there are at least a couple of ways to do so....

Shame they don't do financial ones, they need as much cash as they can get.
Looks like Colchester Hospital (Essex) all you to donate what you want

How does transferring funds from Paypal to the a/c the DD is supposed to be coming from create the DD? Unless you meant sending the money to your sister is the DD, but PP stopped you from arranging this by DD months ago.

Because I don't keep money in my PayPal account so when I send money to my sister it's sent straight away but is taken from my bank as a DD.

Same as any payment I make using PayPal. I buy stuff on eBay and pay via PayPal and the DD is pulled, so I only use the accounts at month end that I haven't used through the month via eBay or other websites where I can use PayPal at checkout.

This is like a cryptic puzzle! I've found out that you can send money from a PayPal account even if it is empty (is that common knowledge?) So I deduce that you have to send more than the balance in order to provoke a DD.
But, you haven't said how you get it to draw from several linked accounts, nor whether it works going to the other person's PayPal account (I'm reluctant to ask for their current account details).

If you link several current accounts to your PayPal account, PP will ask you which one to use each time you make a transaction. So, to make PP pull 4 direct debits you'd have to make 4 separate eBay purchases, or 4 separate payments to a friend, or any combination thereof.

You don't need the other party's current account details, just the email address that they use for PP.

    Hi,

Yes my PayPal account is nil, so when I send any money either for a payment for a purchase or to another person it takes the money from one of my linked accounts via DD. I have six linked accounts on my PayPal account,

At week end of the month I check and see what accounts I have used
for transactions (I use PP as a payment if possible) The accounts that havent been used then I log into PP and send my sister some funds (my PayPal account is empty) I send between £5 - £10, from each of my linked accounts that are needed.

I send the money instantly to my sisters PayPal account, and I tell PP what account to take the money from. (the same process you would do when making any transactions where you use PP to pay)

I then get my sister to send the money to my bank account, I then transfer the money into the accounts that the DD are coming out from. The DD are taken around four days this process.

As mentioned before sometimes I only have to do this for one account, other months its all six, all depends on what purchases I have made during the week.

Thanks, I've never made any purchase from mine and only set it up for DD purposes. I also thought that the quoted bit was necessary for it to work. I'm trying to get my PayPal account unsuspended ATM, so when do you think the last day for arranging the DDs might be, bearing in mind that Monday is a Bank holiday?
