We went sweet chestnut picking last weekend, like someone posted above there were loads of them, never seen so many. I was surprised nobody else was collecting them.
I was under the impression, if kept dry they keep for months, is this not right?0 -
I have to say I really do find chestnuts delicious and needless to say we gobbled them all up (there goes the stuffing)...however I may have over cooked them as they were pretty hard to get out the shells!!!
Least I know for next time.
