plus.net sheer hell

:mad: was with plus.net for a good 14 months before changing just wanted to air my views why i changed etc,
to start with they was a good isp not to many problems untill i moved from london to the north on which after paying £75 reconnection and waiting nearly 2 months for them to give me back my broardband i was upset but thats when the fun started i had rented a bt line in london just for the modem when i moved i only had the one (with other costs etc with the move and having not much money left) i desided i wouldnt install a new extenstion i had sky fitted too as no ariels where i moved to the isp line was actived and i connected it after buying 15 metes of cable to reach the hall phone line (adsl modem) i rung plus (not the first time) about how my modem wasnt working since i moved they told me i should of sorted this out with them before i told them if i had known i would of anyway the jest is they refused to replace the modem told me to go buy one (even tho on the phone to them they had told me if i had anymore problems they would replace it) they was unhelpful and offen unfriendly too ,i asked them to cancel my isp as i couldnt use it they had just taken a months money from my account and i still couldnt get online they wouldnt upgrade my speed even tho there new costumers where offered better speed less price, so i wrote a email to them cancelling my service to which came the reply we will still need to take for another month which is in the contract i them cancelled my direct debit to them and was disgusted to see on the last day of the next month they took a further payment from my bank without my consent upon ringing the back they basically said anyone that holds your bank details can take anything they like so i rung plus.net and told them you take anything else from my account and i will call the police. as plus.net had been blocking my line for two months i couldnt get broadband ive just been able to get one now which im going to set up tomorrow i opped with tesco as there £5 cheaper and provide a free modem and connection.

We've never had any problems with them and we've been with them over 3 years.
All the dealings we have had with them they have tried to be as helpful as possible. But I suppose like every company there are good and bad employees!!0 -
What was the 15m cable you bought? Is it a network cable or telephone cable?? If a network cable then you have to get the right sort, some have crossed over wires and some are straight through (ie just extensions). If you had the wrong one that would explain your modem not working.
In future use a little punctuation and paragraphs and you may get more replies... your vent is quite difficult to read!!0
