I can recommend So Bar! I haven't tried the Harrogate one but the Ripon one is superb - great tasting food and decent prices. It's at the top of Cold Bath Road.
Otherwise, the Jinnha for a curry in town was fantastic too - great service and actually tasty food as opposed to the usual fare from takeaways0 -
If you want dead posh then Van Zeller's is the place....but it is v v expensive. The tasting menu is to die for!

More affordable is Mirabelle which is sort of French. Both in the town centre.
