Hi all,
I had a driving whilst using mobile phone conviction in october 2010. Bad I know! I havent done it since. Trusty Bluetooth.
What I would like to know is how long does this stay on my license for as my insurance is up for renewal jan 2014.
Regards
Bob

It's valid for totting up procedures for three years, stays on your license for four years and must be declared to insurance companies for five years.

Indeed, regardless of the time the endorsement stays on your licence, insurers can (and pretty much always do) ask about it until the conviction is "spent" under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act - which takes 5 years for offences which get you a fine.
