Just popped in a branch to send some money to overseas from my account . they said they need my passport. and when i said i have a UK driving licence and they said DL not enough . so i got refused to send money home .
Just to let you know i have sent money from the same branch at least 10 times in last 10 years. is it normal or a new rule ? does anybody know?

Their website says, simply, to take "photo identification". Did you?
But what did Head Office or the call centre say when you called to ask them?0 -

Didnt call , i went in kilburn high road brunch. Yes i did take my photo driving licence . The coutomer officer said driving licence not enough and have to bring passport and book appointment. Just to mention he also suggested " its easier for you to send money via western union" . I couldnt believe my ear and left the bank.0
