I will up date this post in the hope that it will help others. He went back to work after 3 weeks so the sickness issue didnt really hold things up.
He ignored all correspondence from them, letters, phone calls etc, so after a period of time they went for a deductions of earnings order again.
This began in Jan 2014, its taken till May 28th to receive the first payment and that was only half of what they told me I would receive. To be honest its a joke.
Hes now been informed hes going to be paying charges each month from Aug and is begging me to sort this out between ourselves once again.
In total its taken 6 months to get a payment using the scheme.

He'll be free to ask CMS to change the case to direct pay in August, to avoid the charges, however given that he's failed to make regular full payments this would probably be rejected.
